As all the maps are individually designed and handmade, creating a standardised price list is virtually impossible. Please use the prices and information on this page as a rough guideline to how pricing works. There will always be exceptions and variations to the examples I’ve listed below.

Please consider the huge amount of work that goes into each piece and that you are commissioning a unique artwork, often with many hundreds of hours involved in the making. Pricing is not uniquely based on size, but also on the amount of research and detail involved in creating each map. A large but simple map may well be cheaper than a smaller but much more detailed one. I work alone and everything is handmade by me.

Small Personalised Maps start around AUD$750- $2000 (approx 25cm -50cm)

Other small maps with more detail are also available -  a fairly detailed city or Island map might range from $1500 -$2000

Medium-sized Personalised Maps Usually cost between AUD$2500-$5000 (approx 60cm-90cm)

A good mid-priced option, with plenty of scope for personalisation and detail. Good size and level of detail for a map of a country or continent - but works for any location!

Large Personalised Maps (approx 100cm or above - or smaller maps with lots of extra detail)

Most of my commissions are for larger and very detailed maps of cities or countries - prices usually range between AUD$5,000-10,000 (dependent on size, detail and design).

Larger scale map commissions can also be made and will be quoted for on an individual basis. I can also make (or assemble) larger maps in situ, which can also help with the shipping and import costs.

world Maps

I make a variety of different sized maps. Clients can buy an ‘off the peg’ design or customise their own map, choosing colours, projection and geographical features, as well as adding as much personalised detail as they wish. Maps can be made to any size, or a customised design developed in conjunction with the client. Maps can also be made in situ for the larger size projects.

Below are the the approximate dimensions and starting prices for my most frequently produced world maps:

Standard World Map: (approx. 90cm x 75cm or 90cm x 60cm) - From AUD$3000

This price includes up to 10 additional detail of the client’s choice. Of course you can choose to add as many extra places and things as you wish to any map or globe, for a small amount extra per additional detail. Pricing of the details depend on the amount of time and work involved in making them - for example - a bottle of wine will cost less than the Kremlin…

Large World Map: Below (approx. 120cm x 90cm or 120cm x 75cm) - From $6000

This price includes all additional details of the client’s choice - within the bounds of space, reason and possibility. Two alternate map heights are listed, as a narrower version is cheaper to ship overseas. The length of the map, size of continents and amount of detail included remains the same - there is just less space at the top and bottom.

Giant World Map: Below (approx. 150 cm x 100cm or 150cm x 90cm) - From AUD $8000

This price includes all additional details of the client’s choice - within the bounds of space, reason and possibility. Two alternate map heights are listed, as a narrower version is cheaper to ship overseas. The length of the map, size of continents and amount of detail included remains the same - there is just less space at the top and bottom.

Multi Panel World Map: Below (approx. 150-200cm x 100cm x 15cm) - Starting at AUD$10,000 (dependent on number of panels)

This price includes all additional details of the client’s choice - within the bounds of space, reason and possibility.

Clients can choose from a variety of different map configuration options and number of panels. Each continent is created on a separate panel 50cm high and of varying widths.

Globes

Globes can be made in a range of different colours, styles and sizes. I have listed the most popular designs and sizes below, but please ask if you would like something different.

Standard Globe: 30cm Diameter Base (approximately 40cm diameter once the relief detail is added)

From AUD$1950

This price includes up to 10 additional detail of the client’s choice. Australia Maps

Like all maps, the Australia map be produced to any dimension. These are now mostly created as square maps, as this format best suits the shape of the country. Please use these prices and dimensions purely as a starting point and check directly with me before ordering.
